About the Course

Before we get into how to use X for marketing, we need to get you set up and tweeting! In this course you’re going to learn how to set up a X account, and the three basic things to do – write your own tweet, retweet someone else’s tweet, and retweet with a comment.

All of the activities across this course require you to frame your answers as though they were a tweet – keeping it to 280 characters or less. It’s a good idea to have X open while you do the course. If you plan your answers actually on X, it will get you used to the channel and you’ll be tweeting in no time at all!

You’ll be looking at what content formats work best on X. It’s not that different in this regard to the other channels. You need great, concise copy, amazing images and videos, and links to other great content. Like all social media, engagement is the key to success for individuals and organisations. Throughout the course you’ll look at case-studies of X success. We encourage you to look for your own examples as you spend time on the platform.
